Related Group and BH Group broke ground on Icon Beach on 18 June 2026: a thirty-eight-story tower of 350 residences on the Intracoastal side of South Ocean Drive, across the road from the Diplomat Beach Resort, on land the developers assembled in 2023. Cohen Freedman Encinosa & Associates designed it, Meyer Davis the interiors and Witkin Hults + Partners the landscape. Sales opened in March 2024, a $360 million construction loan closed in April 2026, and the developers' estimate for completion is 2028.
Residences run from one to three bedrooms, 948 to 2,580 square feet, in a tower of about 400 feet. A thirty-two-slip private marina sits on the Intracoastal Waterway and a residents-only beach club on the ocean side of A1A.
Between 30,000 and 40,000 square feet of amenities include a waterfront pool with a sun shelf, a 3,000-square-foot health club, a spa, an outdoor cinema and event space on the water. A second tower, a hotel, is approved for the same site.
