57 Ocean

Completed in 2021 by MultiplanREAM to a design by Arquitectonica, 57 Ocean rises eighteen floors on the Millionaire's Row stretch of Collins Avenue. Homes run from two to four bedrooms and from 1,245 to 3,623 square feet, and the building fronts 220 linear feet of Atlantic beach with direct access to the Miami Beach Walk.

The architects took their cue from Brazil: an undulating structure of wood and glass, planted heavily enough that the building reads as part of its landscaping rather than an object set down in it. Terraces run twelve feet deep with wood-toned ceiling soffits, ceilings inside reach ten feet, and every home faces either the ocean or the city.

Wellness organizes the amenity plan; it does not decorate it. The Wellness Pavilion holds treatment rooms both inside and out, a vitality pool, space set aside for meditation, and a thermal suite running to aromatherapy saunas, separate steam rooms for men and women, experience showers and an ice fountain. Two cabana-lined oceanfront infinity pools sit at ground level with a poolside bar and beach service, and a chef's kitchen handles entertaining.

Kitchens are Italian, with solid marble counters, waterfall islands and Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances; ocean-facing homes add wine refrigeration. Master bathrooms are finished in natural stone with double vanities, a floating tub and paired spa showers. The location gives quick reach to Miami International Airport, South Beach, downtown, the Design District, Wynwood and Brickell.
